Baetes Technologies AB (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides the View at Home Shopify app (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle information when merchants install or use the App.

1. What the App does

View at Home is an AR viewer for Shopify merchants. The App is designed to display and render merchant-provided visual content and does not require access to personal information about a merchant’s customers in order to perform its core functionality.

2. Information we collect

We aim to minimize data collection.

Information from Shopify

When a merchant installs or uses the App, we may receive limited store-related information from Shopify that is necessary to install, authenticate, support, and operate the App, such as:

• Shop domain or store identifier
• App installation status
• Basic app authorization information
• Merchant-provided content or configuration needed for the App to function

We do not intentionally collect or process protected customer data or personally identifiable customer information such as customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses through the App.

Information provided directly by merchants

We may receive information that merchants choose to provide while using the App, such as:

• Images and other visual content uploaded or connected by the merchant
• App settings and display preferences
• Support messages sent to us

Information from merchants’ customers

The App is not intended to collect personal information directly from merchants’ customers.

The App does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies to profile end customers for advertising purposes.

Technical data

We do not use IP addresses for profiling or marketing. Any temporary server, security, or hosting logs that may incidentally contain IP addresses are handled by our service providers in the ordinary course of operating and securing the service and are not used to identify individuals.

We use the limited information we collect only to:

• provide, maintain, and improve the App
• render and display merchant visual content
• save merchant app settings and preferences
• authenticate the App installation
• respond to support requests
• protect the security and integrity of the App

We do not sell personal information.
We do not use the App to build marketing profiles about merchants or their customers.

4. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill legitimate business purposes such as security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.

Because the App is designed to minimize data collection, the data we retain is limited to merchant content, app settings, and operational records needed to provide the service.

If a merchant uninstalls the App, we will delete or anonymize retained data within 7 days, unless we are required to keep it for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant or customer personal information.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the App, such as hosting, storage, infrastructure, error monitoring, and customer support providers, but only as needed for them to perform services on our behalf.

We may also disclose information:

• to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process
• to enforce our agreements
• to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

6. International data transfers

If we or our service providers process data outside the country where the merchant is located, we take reasonable steps to ensure that data is protected in accordance with applicable law.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Merchant choices and rights

Merchants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about them, subject to applicable law.
